La Paz Beanie

I finally admitted to myself that I wasn’t going to finish the Beach Bum Blanket before Cal Mah (and that it wouldn’t be the most transportable thing anyway) so, after some thought, decided to make a beanie. It IS cold in the UK, after all. *smirks*

Raiding my stash, I found a ball of Designer Yarns’s La Paz; an Aran weight blend of acrylic, mohair and alpaca. To say it’s warm is an understatement. Using a 5.5 mm hook the hat only took a couple of hours, though as I was putting it down and picking it back up on and off, I only finished it late afternoon. Still in time, though.

Since the folding of DY, I don’t think this gorgeous yarn is now available. However, I’ve a fair amount in my stash, so I can still make a few more beanies for the upcoming shop!
